http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 manager reveals his desire of tying knots with the out-of-favour Bayern Munich striker in the upcoming January transfer window.
Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath has expressed his desire of bringing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivica-Olic-c17399 to Volkswagen Arena in the winter transfer window.
The former Schalke boss intends to strengthen his squad in January as Die Wolfe are currently fighting relegation and are in desperate search of a proven striker. Magath believes that Olic’s arrival in January could be a blessing
for his side as the Croatian’s hunger for first-team action could help Wolfsburg finish in the top half of the table.
Olic has found himself out-of-favour in Jupp Heynckes’s plans ever since the tactician took charge of the club.
The Croatian was injured at the start of the season and when he regained his fitness, the former CSKA star was confined only to a bench role. He has hardly seen any action this season and was handed a rare opportunity against Manchester
City in the Champions League. However, he failed to impress his boss and ended up getting a yellow card.
Olic has expressed his frustration and wants to part ways with the club in the winter transfer window.
Bayern manager Jupp Heynckes has made it clear that none of his players will be allowed to leave the club during the January window. Therefore, Olic is unlikely to leave the club next month unless Die Wolfe come up with a mega
offer.
While talking to Bild, the former Werder Bremen tactician further enthused:
"He [Olic] would fit in here. And as far as I'm aware of the situation, he is open to a move. He will probably play at his last big tournament at Euro 2012 this summer, and he wants to play in the build-up. However, the question
is whether Bayern are ready to sell him."
Olic has managed only seven league appearances this season and has scored a single goal. The 32-year-old has also attracted interest from Serie A side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miroslav-Klose-c26049.
