Bundesliga managers Felix Magath and Robin Dutt offered support to Ralf Rangnick, who resigned from the Schalke job this week citing health issues. The duo claimed that the managerial job is very demanding and exhaustive and that
Rangnick has surely made the right decision.
Rangnick stepped down as Schalke manager earlier this week due to health reasons. He is suffering from the fatigue syndrome and it was revealed that it would be impossible for him to continue his job as his body needs rest.
Felix Magath, whose departure earlier this year brought Rangnick to Schalke, claimed that it is a courageous decision. He stated that the job demands a lot of work and is heavily exhausting and to step down as manager was in the
best interests of both parties.
Magath praised Rangnick for openly coming out and admitting that he cannot carry on with his job considering the medical condition.
“This is a personal, courageous and respectful move. I know from personal experience how demanding and burdensome the coaching http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 manager was quoted as saying in an interview.
Bayer Leverkusen manager Robin Dutt insisted that Rangnick has made the right choice as football is not the most important thing in the world. He stated that life is more important than any other thing and it should not be compromised
at any cost.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462 manager added that we should develop respect for each other as in the end it is only a sport. He stressed that everybody has a responsibility towards each other and it should be fulfilled.
“We all think that football is the most important thing in the world and now we realize that it is not the most important thing. We all need to have more respect for each other because in this system everyone puts pressure on everyone.
Players on coaches, coaches on players, media on players and coaches and fans on players and coaches,” he concluded.
Ralf Rangnick joined Die Knappen in March this year and guided them to DFB-Pokal glory.
