The VfL Wolfsburg manager has expressed his desire to bring Diego back at the Volkswagen Arena after his one-year loan spell at Atletico Madrid.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 tactician, Felix Magath, has revealed his intentions of bringing former attacker Diego back in the Bundesliga from Atletico Madrid. He was talking after his side finished eighth in the Bundesliga with 44 points and
fell just one slot short of the final Europa League place.
Diego went to Madrid last year after being involved in an off-the-field spat with his manager. He was twice warned by the club officials and served with hefty fine before the tempers heated up at the Volkswagen Arena.
The midfielder eventually decided to part ways with the club and was loaned out to the current Europa League champions. The Brazilian spent the entire 2011/12 campaign with the Mattress Makers and made 22 league appearances, bagging
three goals during the process. His tremendous skills also led Madrid into the Europa League final and helped them snatch the title from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186.
Magath appreciated the way Diego has performed in Spain and feels pleased that the attacker has brought massive improvement in his behaviour. The former Schalke boss mused that the Brazilian could be back at Wolfsburg for the next
season after his loan spell finished with the La Liga side this year.
While talking to Deutscher Presse-Agentur, the 58-year-old further added: "We have seen how valuable he can be as a player when he brings all of his skills to the team. So, our fans can look forward to that [next season] ..."
On the other hand, Diego specified that he is open to a move back to the Bundesliga but refrained from commenting whether he would again play under Magath or vice versa. The attacker mentioned that he will prefer extending his
