Magath expressed disappointment at his team’s loss but has vowed to make a winning return in the club’s next fixture. He also confirmed about his intentions of staying at Volkswagen Arena for a long period despite having offers from other Bundesliga outfits.
The manager added that he doesn’t plan to manage any other German outfits and will leave the country once Die Wolfe officials decide to part ways with him. He also claimed that he will lead his side at least to the next year’s UEFA Europa League despite
having problems earlier this season.
Wolfsburg so far have managed to win only two of their six games while the other four ended in losses. Magath admits being under pressure but has complete confidence on his side. He told that currently he has no problems at the club and is happy to be among
a nice batch of players.
While talking to the local press, the manager further added,” Currently I’m in Germany and I’m in good hands. They know me very well and I’ve found the right club in VfL [Wolfsburg]. Here I can put my ideas into practice and work to become successful. Therefore
I also said that in the Bundesliga VfL will be my last club and I have no intention of leaving in the next few years.”
Magath is currently in his second term as Die Wolfe manager having previously led them to the Bundesliga crown in 2009. The manager hopes to make the same sort of impact this season but the situation looks a lot bleaker at the moment.
