Question:

Felix Trinidad vs. Antonio Tarver?

I'm sure most of heard about Felix Trinidad not wanting to fight Jermain Taylor because "it doesn't motivate him". I'm sure a fight with Tarver would be big. Who would win and why?

  1. As much as I hate Antonio Tarver, he would handle Felix Trinidad at this stage.  Trinidad was great in his prime, but he really should hang up the gloves now- he was at his best as a welterweight, and now he can barely make 170 pounds.  The simple fact is that he cannot be competitive at that high of a weight and at this stage of his career; even at 160 he got schooled by Bernard Hopkins and Winky Wright.  Tarver would beat him easily just like Roy Jones, Jr. did and it would not be fun to watch an out of shape Tito get handled again.  He has nothing left to prove, and he is already a first-ballot hall of famer, so I think that he should just retire because his record speaks for itself.

  2. i wouldn't pay to see that fight , trinidad sucks now

  3. it wont happen

  4. I don't think there is two fiters I want to see less than these middle age bumpkins.  Why not ask about an exciting fight?  Like Chad Dawson popping off Tarver's head

  5. Tarver is way too big

  6. Trinidad never had the size to go punch with punch with Tarver. His power staved off at 160. I respect Tito, dont get me wrong..but even as basic as Tarver is..he is awkward enough to manhandle Tito. And once Tarver felt Titos power and realized he had nothing to fear from it, and relaxed and opened up on him....Tito would get leveled.

I agree, Chad Dawson would be the next logical fight for Tarver. But I am not sold on Dawson winning it just yet. Ive seen some flaws that a tight defense could expose. And Tarver has a tight defense.

  7. It depends on how serious Trinidad is taking boxing. I liked how he hung in there with Jones after a three year lay off and being in the worst shape of his life. I saw the fight a few times and i didnt see him being dominated like some say. I just saw a rusty but never hurt Trinidad and a Jones who still had hand speed.

So with that I still see a very talented Trinidad who has the capabilty to win as long as he is serouis about his work ethic and winning  and not just a paycheck. And i think Tarver style suits Felix

  8. Hes done, i seen it on primero impacto, he should just retire

    he had a good run
