Fellaini angry and frustrated ahead of Chelsea clash
Everton midfielder, Marouane Fellaini warned the Blues, ahead of their fixture on Saturday that they would be facing an “angry” Everton. The Toffees travel to Stamford Bridge ,on the weekend , after an embarrassing home defeat to West Brom and will try their best to make up for it.
Everton suffered a 4-1 thrashing from a lowly West Brom side, at home, last Saturday. The shock defeat left them just two points above the relegation zone, which has left the side determined to return to winning ways and they will get their chance against, champions Chelsea.
Fellaini maintained that his side was determined to put their defeat behind them and get a positive result against the Blues. He was confident that his squad would be able to take ,Carlo Ancelotti’s side, for a ride, since the Blues themselves have been on a poor run.Chelsea have lost three out of four, of their last matches, which saw them lose their place at the top of the English Premier League. Fellaini was also confident because of his side’s good record against Chelsea, which he believes will give them an edge over the hosts, tomorrow.
Fellaini, while speaking to reporters about the loss last weekend, said,
“All the players are still angry after losing that game at home. We are hoping for a good performance now to bounce back. Chelsea is a big team and a dangerous team.”
However, the Toffees midfielder was confident about the upcoming match, he added,
“But we have a good record against them and tend to play better against good teams. Hopefully it's the same again. We are motivated to do well against the big players.”
Fellaini has just returned from a three match ban, having been sent off, against Bolton. He returns for the trip to Stamford Bridge and believes, he can make a difference for his side. He admitted that it was frustrating to watch from the sidelines. Fellaini articulated,
“I have had a frustrating time. I was injured then I got back training again, the manager gave me confidence, I played again and then was sent off. It is positive in a way because I have thought a lot about it and I know it is my mistake, my error and I will not do it again. I have trained hard while I have been suspended and am ready to play. The manager will decide whether I play or not but I am ready.”
