Question:

Fellow ATHEISTS/AGNOSTICS: You *do* gotta admit, it IS kinda cute when Christians proselytize us?

Even though it rapidly gets annoying, whenever a thirteen year-old girl is like, "Come on, don't you KNOW in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God?!" I'm like, "Awww...how cuuute!"

Is anyone else the same way?

  1. do not include me in anything that involves the flag of the great destroyer, thank you

  2. Alright, I feel the same way but only if it's coming from a thirteen year old or younger.  It's like hearing a 5 year saying "What did you ask Santa for this year?"

  3. Cute. Yeah, like the stomach flu and peeing out of your butt is cute.

  4. So, what's your question?  All you did was give a rant, then ask if anybody agreed with you.  That's not a question!

Additional comment - why do atheists use such filthy language?  Is that REALLY what they offer as an alternative to God, just filth?

  5. No actually I find it amusing especially when I explain to them no evidence or documentation exists that there was a Jesus or 12 deadbeats following him . I will often refer to the mythical execution as the " cruxifiction " .

  6. Are you Jewish....??

  7. It is cute.  but it scares me if people really believe in fiction as reality

  8. About as cute as a kitten getting cut in half with a chainsaw.

  9. As cute as a sloppy drunk vomiting on my shoes.

  10. No not really. I just sort of ignore them and walk away. Also I do not like the idea of children proselytzing. Most don't even understand their own religion so they have no business trying to convert others.

  11. No, it gets old really quickly.

    ____

  12. I feel a little tug at my heartstrings when they tell me they'll pray for me, even though I know that won't make a bit of difference. They are sincere in their belief and their concern for us, even if they are (in my opinion) intellectually misguided.

For "sinners," I think people in general really can be decent. We just have to be conditioned right.

  13. Hey, why don't you come to church with me? LOL We're having coffee and donuts after.

  14. Not really...passed by a couple of bible-thumpers yesterday on the street corner passing out pamphets and could only mourn all the trees slain for no good reason.

  15. Yes, it's quite charming. Or the God exists because, 'he wakes you up every morning', line they throw at us.

  16. It makes me wonder if they still respect nature considering what nature to them...

  17. I don't usually pay attention, so no.

  18. Yep...until I realize that their really dyslexic and she is not really 16 but 61

  19. Maybe a nine year old, but not thirteen.

  20. Sometimes. If they're just flat out believing in it and they're obvious and they're genuinely concerned then I feel almost protective of them but if they're just trying to attack and belittle then open up with both barrels on 'em.

  21. Why resist it then?  You KNOW in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God.

Is it as cute, coming from me?

  22. Not when they report my answers.

  23. dont think its so cute im afraid

i think wow what a very small young mind on a very small young person

naivety, ignorance and intolerance is not that cute,

and thats not great as kids are supposed to be cute, when you look at them and hear them are think you are annoying not cute, i dont think its that great

    haha@duke, aggression is funny

  24. Of which I usually respond, "And you know in your heart that Thor is god, you just deny it."

  25. it's about as cute as an air raid

  26. I generally feel revulsion, shock, and horror at that sort of thing.  To see someone so young who has been so thoroughly indoctrinated and then sent out to proselytize others, that's almost tantamount to child abuse to me.  So, it's not cute, it's disturbing.  People should be allowed to choose their faith, not have it rammed down their throats when they're too young to think critically.

  27. No.

I feel so very sincerely sorry for them.
