Does your employer pay you your vacation pay if you take your vaction or not...or do they even pay it at all?

Yes, by law they have to pay you vacation pay. Some companies do roll it into every paycheck so make sure you double check with them how their system works

Each Province has its own rules about vacation, and mandatory pay for it.  I  believe it applies in all Provinces that you MUST be given the time off or be paid for working it.

Not everyone  is completely covered by Provincial law, as some industries are covered under Federal laws.  If you are one then you are supposed to apply to the Ministry and ask for permission to work, instead of taking the time off.
