Right now I'm in love with a song called Great is the Lord by Starfield (a really good yet not recognized band)

I love this one and play it most days.

I love it when the big man calls out "hit it Mavis" to the woman on the keyboards.

It is also really great to dance to as you will see. What amazes me is that the lady doesn't get dizzy

There are so many, it is hard for me to choose.

One of my favorites is Heart of Worship. It really speaks to me about what it means to live your life for Christ.

I am also a fan of anything by Jars of Clay and Stellar Kart!

Family comes to mind. It goes like this.

They say you can't pick your family; I'm about to prove them wrong.

for I've found me a radical grouping whose hearts will fill this song.

They're people I've met only briefly, yet truly they've changed my life.

They found me abused and beaten by a 'family' covered in strife!

They picked me up, dusted me off, loved me with all that they are.

They drenched my Spirit with Living Water and mostly erased the scar

from a family who generally mistreated me, then tossed me out to dry.

It got so bad, I was so sad, all I could do sometimes was just cry.

I guess I cried to the right Source, for God surely heard my prayer

and sent in the place of this miasma of pain a 'family' oh, so rare;

with hearts so pure and precious they give me strength to remain

and press on to that day of days where in Glory we shall reign.

So when you ask me of family remember to whom you speak

because I made my choice and chose this loving group, so unique.

I know with their strength and conviction my heart will finally heal

and all of this carnal will surely cease, for only the Spirit is real.
