Fellow Gooners - Who is going to have the biggest impact?

Of the new signings and the younger lads who will be looking to 'step-up', who is going to have the biggest impact on our season?

My prediction is Nasri. I think he is the type of player we have been missing since Bobby Pires left. An out and out wide player who will go past a couple of players before providing a killer pass. We had Overmars, then Pires, I think he is the next in line.

Other possibilities, Diaby, Vela, Denilson and I'll even include Theo as he is still getting betting, this could be his season. Djourou could also make a step up as I think he will be first choice back-up ahead of Senderos should Gallas or Toure get injured.

Ramsey and Bischoff are probably ones to watch the following season. A bit too early for them at the moment.

  1. i agree that nasri will make an impact i also think vela will as he has played very well in preseason.

Bendtner has also played great in preseason and i think this season he will make an big impact.

Ramsey and Coquelin are a bit to young and bischoff i feel will fit in nicely

    COMON ARSENAL

  2. i think theo walcott will get even more chances this season and will get better; so it is between him and nasri, although nasri has to prove himself with the pace of the english game..

once he does that, i think he will succeed!

i know you said gooners, but i thought i'd throw in my 2 pence (or cents, for the americans)

  3. well i think nasri and fabregas are going to make a difference this season

also, the return of rosiscy and eduardo is going to have a large impact on the teams performance

vela and wilshire are both brilliant players,so ,in my opinion ,a lot of the arsenal players are going to affect the team

  4. Its between Carlos Vela, Nasri and Walcott. Vela & Walcott both look like future Arsenal legends, Nasri might get off to a slow start as its not easy to adopt to the pace of the EPL. In my opinion, Vela. Hes quick, skillful, a good dribbler and always a threat.

  5. Definitely going to be Theo Walcott hitting the headlines on the back pages this season. looking forward to Nasri though, seeing how well he fits in and how quickly he adapts to Arsenal's style of play.

As for future Arsenal player to watch .. Luke Freeman.

(2 more weeks, i cant wait!!!!)

  6. i agree Nasri is exactly what we need, however it may take him up to half the season to get used to premier league football.

Vela and Walcott are also ones to look out for. Theo was amazing when he came on as subs last season and i think this will be the season in which he shines.

Vela i think will be a very good sub and maybe a starter later in the season.

i also agree with your view on ramsey and bischoff. Bischoff is currently out of fitness and may take  up to 3 months to recover.

Ramsey will also be a good sub then starter as he gets used to the pace of the premier league.

I think that arsenal have a good shot at the title. however that is what is said at the begining of every season and we start off well then fade away later. lets just hope we can be consistent throughout the season and injusries can be on a low as well as eduardo coming back as soon as possible

  7. yh, if nasri can bang in atleast 10 goals next season then wenger has done it again.

i think we are lacking an attacking midfield since pires left, rosicky is good but he does't get that many goals....

  8. I think it may be Walcott's season, but i hope they give Vela a chance, he has impressed in pre-season

  9. Yes Nasri is going to have a big impact this year!

But out of the young guys I think theo Walcott will have the biggest, he made a clear statement by taking Thierry Henry's number that this season he came to play and dominate that field. Nasri is a good player but it takes time to fit in the premiership!

I really like the way you put Diaby, Denilson, and Vela in the mix because not many people actually see that they are talented players and always want to buy, buy, etc... After Bishoff's signing I don't think we need anymore new players! Even if there is an Injury there is someone there to cover!
