Fellow christians,question about sin?

i am a christian who loves God very much. However i have this one sin which i continue to do. im always asking for Gods forgiveness. i feel so bad about doing it (pre-marital s*x) im getting married to my fiance next year...do any of you christians have any similair situations where u find it so hard to stop?

If you know you are sinning and you continue to do it, you are sinning with intent while i understand the desire to be intimate with the man you love i don't believe it is something out of your control. i had the same temptation when i was preparing to marry my husband but controlled myself and waited. and if you really want God  to forgive you then you need to truly feel sorry for the sin and then stop doing it. til then you are wasting your time pretending to feel remorse for something you plan to do again after you pray for forgiveness.

You feel bad because you have not stopped doing it. Forgiveness does not come until after we repent. To have Sins forgiven we have to stop doing a sin. That is to repent or change.

I had a sin cigars. I had to stop completely to be forgiven.

God does not forgive us if we continue ti commit the same Sin over again after we ask for forgiveness.

We have to repent or stop doing it to get forgiveness.

I agree with Liya79, doublequ.. and Ray G... If you're in a committed relationship with someone you truly love and you're only having s*x with him then it's fine. It's not like you're a promiscuous person or having s*x with total strangers.. For all those people who wait until marriage, I commend them because it's really difficult. But not everyone can (or maybe they can but don't necessarily want to) do that. If the love is in your heart for someone and you know they're the person you want to be with forever ; and if they are the only person you are intimate with, then I honestly don't see the problem.. I am a Christian, not married but I will be married to my current boyfriend one day. He is the man I lost my virginity to (at 22 years old) and is and will always be the only man I will be intimate with - for as long as we live on this earth together.. I think it's a bit unrealistic to expect two people who are entirely devoted to eachother; who love eachother and are inlove with eachother to have to hold back those feelings and the most intimate experience which can be shared by a couple, because they're not married. I do think that marriage is sacred and special and something to be respected and nurtured but I feel that God will understand if your heart is in the right place.

My BF insisted that we have oral s*x before marriage. He wanted me to perform some things with him.

I know it is a sin and I explained to him that it is against the word of God.

Tell your BF it is a sin. Repent and asked for forgiveness. Take Jesus into your hearts, and wait until you are married before God!

I do not think premarital s*x is a sin when it is a committed love.  Indiscriminately sleeping with people you don't love or truly care about is another matter.

I find myself writing about this situation nearly every morning on here.  You essentially have an early biblical marriage to this person.  Marriage as we know it today is not the marriage of early biblical times.

The process of marriage today is just an enabling of more efficient tax and revenue collection.

I'm a Christian and I hope your fiance is too, as the Bible tells us to marry other Christians (Do not be yolked un-evenly). Just remember you are not alone, there are millions of Christians who are struggling with things that they feel helpless to stop. I myself am struggling with one of the 7 deadly sins, lust. The answer is to pray constantly, ask God to renew your faith, your soul and your mind so that the holy spirit can live in you. You will probably continue to have s*x before marriage but if you do don't condemn yourself because God is a loving, forgiving God who will forgive you many times over. When you condemn yourself the devil has won a small victory. By the same token don't wilfully engage in premarital s*x, thinking that, "oh God will forgive me" because that would also be a small victory for the devil, so its a double edged sword. So every time you feel lust or want to have premarital s*x, pray or read Phillipians, chapter 4 verse 8, i've found this verse particularly useful

Just for you to know the truth

There have to be a purpose for life otherwise we will miss the peaceful path of happiness so we want to be just better everyday

So, spiritually, what is God? , What’s makes God as god? , What is God’s Power? , For all sort of these questions, I have very limited understanding so Let me give you the point. Well, just try to know, what’s makes God as god, the Power, isn’t it? So what the power can do? Ah? Well, it can give the ability to organise all things & it can give the ability to separate everything and most importantly, the Ability to control everything, isn’t it? Isn’t it good? Ah? So, what I try to say here is, from my hard study and research effort with the help from god, I realized that the ability to control everything, the Power of God is gradually increased in the full amount to use so; The Power of God is always the omnipotent and existed among everything. & The God now is always the same omnipotent for us, who is organised us and we are growing towards perfection. The perfection is the final stage, not the end. & The Power of God, the Ability is the reward for us to control everything in a proper manner, like the true God of goodness. & Everlasting Happiness is the final stage. & it cannot come alone without the final stage perfection of God. & if god always perfect in perfection then there have to be beginning with God for the organizing progress of all things. So, there is No end and also No beginning for all things, including this on going organizing progress. So we cannot get anything from nothing. & how could that be possible to be perfect in perfection always, ah…? No way has the perfection of god come first or the growth towards perfection. There is No End and there is No beginning and so the Ability is for the Love of Joy & ~ LOVE IS THE ABILITY ~

If you don’t still agree, then note this important point: - you can use any thing for Good or Bad so, whenever possible If you ask the god for the good reason to give you the ability perfection, because of your obedience, then the God will give you, if the god is good and Almighty. Simple logical prove (the evidence) for this concept. So,

If you are humble, please... Pray to know the truth from true God by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit with great faith and. Good in Bad & Bad in Good so the values are most important. God gave us the rights to do what is right for you & sometimes, things can be right in your point of view but wrong in Public point of view so Basically, just pray about it for the Good Answer and try to do the God's will first always & If you think, why so much trouble and pain in this world…? Then there is only one reason, without pain, No pleasure and without pleasure, no pain. So without them, we cannot enjoy this life so always we need them in our development towards the perfection of God. So-so you use pain and pleasure instead of pain and pleasure use you. I mean the vision of your future should be clear & it have to pull you rather than you have to push so you must link a lot of pleasure in order to succeed in the Best job. When you feel strong enough links a lot of pleasure in your subconscious mind and your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure. & It is wonderful nature for us by the true God. And we all make mistakes so it is hard to look for star in daylight. So just in faith… it is possible. Like that the faith in true God. &  If you think, even expert can be wrong then you have to make the fine research in all most everything so It is hard and some time, it is impossible to achieve so Why we need inappropriate action to find the owner of higher power? So, because of Lack of faith in true God, we do not have the great gift of understanding of things. & All things are spiritually first, to govern by God with glory so closely, Have a look at this world of wonders of yours and then you know the truth, when you listen to your real voice and then Having a strong desire to do the best every day then stick with the best to do your best. And most importantly, try to be grateful for what you have now & try to know where you come from to have the great gift of understanding and then, have the faith to become the best winner in your life. & The Law of mercy cannot rob the Law of justice so Justice demands the punishment of our sin but The Law of mercy requires the forgiveness to give to us and God is perfect in perfection so cannot violate his laws so The God provided the way to our salvation to overcome our sin so Jesus Christ sacrifice is much needed to return to live with God, so Jesus Christ is our savior.

Well, It is the time to make the great decision.

God loves you very much and wants only the best for you. Take steps to stop. Don't put yourself in situations where having s*x could happen. See your fiance at certain times. This will help your relationship now and in the future.

If it is only with the guy you are going to marry, then it will all work out. You should not be concerned about the purely human ceremony of marriage that you haven't done yet. That is just for record keeping and taxes, in other words, bureaucrats. If you two have already pledged your devotion to one another, you will be fine.

It is normally an honour to be asked to do the reading at Mass.  Once though I drew the short straw and got landed with that bit from St Paul railing against fornication.

Now I am looking at your situation as a Catholic, and in particularly something which can be brought up at the Confessional. It is excellent since it is something that is making you feel bad, and is therefore putting an obstacle between you and God's grace.

If you are not Catholic, and I am not a priest, then I can attempt some amateur Confession.

The penalty of fornication is that s*x becomes devalued in your own heart, and that something that is so precious and so lovely becomes just a body function.  That is so sad.  St Paul is a pragmatist though.  It is much better if you can hold yourself until marriage, but if you cannot, then at least keep mindful of Love and the reason you are doing it.

So your penance is therefore the next time you make love with your fiance, set aside a little time beforehand for prayers.  Say the Lord's Prayer and ask for God's guidance so that what you are about to do will be very special and wonderful.  I cannot speak for God, but it may well be that God's response will be a closer bond with your fiance which must invariably lead to your marriage.

Don't forget to thank God afterwards too, as well as your fiance.

Then after that penance, you can be forgiven because you are doing it for God and for Love.
