He isnt that bad... Everyone makes mistakes and he made alot of bad ones... I cant watch your video because I have dial-up... I agree with you he is getting paid way to much and is taking alot of cap space but you know what that was Ferguson's fault and we can't do anything about it now... He isnt a bad defender just everyone was expecting alot more with the amount of money he makes

Ps he is a douche and leafs should sign him for alot less amount of money...

Half of the Make-Me-Laffs salary is tied up on defense.  They are hurtin pretty bad.  Lack of scouting talent and really crappy draft picks (not to mention inflated salaries for chumps like McCabe) and trading away future stars (i.e. Bochenski) have been their biggest problem.

McCabe is an offensive minded defenseman.... the LEAFS knew that when they signed him. They have  no one to blame but themselves.

Just be thankful he's not Roman Hamrlik . Montreal have to pay him more money for longer than we have to pay McCabe (by the way there are only 2 c's in his name) for less production.

Don't worry He will be traded before the season starts. When he comes back to bite your @$$ I won't say told you so, too often.

Maybe if you were to compare him to Jovanovsky for career stats including plus / minus there would be less animosity.

I remember a couple of years ago when Leafs Nation was crowing "McCabe is gonna win the Norris!" How quickly they peck their wounded to death.

McCabe is not the only problem on the Leafs. As former Leafs agitator and wit Tiger Williams said of the team "A fish rots from the head first."

Ok when i hear McCabe a lot comes to mind! I agree totally that he is not worth the money he gets but i also have to say he isn't the worst Defencemen. He's ok but not worth the money and i do believe he should get traded as soon as possible

p.s. Like every other player he goes on the ice an gives his all.

McCabe a waste of money? Toronto should be worried about getting rid of Raycroft, he's the biggest waste of $2,000,000 in the whole f*cking league.

Tom- if he was Roman Hamrlik, at least you would have a d-man who can play the position- Defense.

Don't get me wrong he is not bad but not worth the 14.45 million he is owed for the next 3 yrs.  With a cap hit of 5.75M per (front loaded contract) he will not be easy to move.

As to Hamrlik, he too might become a liability at 5.5 per but I would not trade Hamrlik for Mccabe at this point.
