Felony + Reduction to a Misdemeanor = Felony Record???????

I will plead guilty to a felony, but as part of the plea deal it will be reduced to a misdemeanor after probation. When it is reduced, will I have a misdemeanor record, or a felony record?

  1. Even though you committed a felony, you get to only have the misdemeanor on your record.

    Unlike the victim, who suffered the full consequences of your decision to commit a crime, you will not have to.


  2. This gets tricky, the arrest record will still show the felony if someone were to look up your arrests. However, you official record with the courts or if one were to complete a background search will be a misdemeanor.
