Question:

Felt something in my chest while doing a neck x-ray?

I got a neck x-ray, so it was aimed at my neck, but I felt a feeling in my stomach (like boiling water hit it for 0.00001secs). I was also holding some board near it. I didn't ask what it was then cause I thought it might be normal or it might just be in my head but when I came home I got a little more worried. Any idea if that could've been dangerous and cause cancer?

  1. No problem, you were just nervous.  X-ray exposure is dangerous in very high levels.  People can have 1-2 x-rays a month without any complications.  If you notice all radiation technicians wear a little badge that tests how much radiation there exposed too.  If too much those people are the ones that have a higher risk for cancer.
