Female Prison questions?

Hi I'm a 26 year old female and i'm being sentence to 2-5 yrs in prison next week. When i'm taken into custody will i be shackled? (if yes hand/feet/both)? What is the strip search procedure? Will lots of people see me naked, I'm very modest and can't imagine having to strip naked in front of someone. Will i wear black and white stripes? Will i be strip searched every day? How often will i be allowed to shower? I'm 5'7" 120lbs and i guess decently attractive, will that make me a target? Thanks for any help

One Yes you will likely be shackled and handcuffed at the waist.

Are you going to Prison or JAIL as in county??

They are totally different

You will be strip searched No one does a cavity search unless they suspect you have drugs

They do strip you naked and you may be with other ladies who will be doing same thing They will tell you to Squat and cough (muscles can not hold anything if you cough or so they believe)

You will get past that modest mess though you will either be in a cell with someone either 1 or up to 4 depending again where you are and if we are talking prison or jail You may be in a large rec room with a lot of bunks beds with a chest for your stuff.

You shower daily unless you go to lock down and then it may be every other day.

prison you wear state jeans and state sweat shirts and ts etc. in jail jumpsuits tops and bottoms orange or blue.

Some prisons still let you have some personal clothes tennis  shoes  undies socks But must be NEW

they will give a list to give parents and family etc to bring or mail in stuff that is allowed

Be sure to take money with you to put in your account

NO one rapes people in jail in the Female prison and jail. That happens in the mens prison.

If you go in there minding your business and not taking no trash you will be fine

Do NOT go in there asking a lot of questions or being in everyone's business or up the guards butt and you will be just fine.

do your time mind your business and you will be out in no time.

If you get in there and it is prison get a job school and all the activities you can it looks good when you hit the parole board Also once you do part of the time you can write your judge and ask for modification There are other little things to help you get out early to not trying to put them on here in the open though.

Make this your last trip though It is no fun and no playground.

You will be striped in front of female guards.. You will be cavity searched ( Up the v****a and r****m) you many or may not be deloused .. You probably will be shackled as this is usually the procedure

.   You will be ok.  You will wear a prison uniform.  YOu will sit on a chair that tells if you have metal or "stuff" hidden inside your body.  Not as important to strip search any more altho they have the right. Probably not naked in front of people.  Shower at least 2 times a week.  You won't be a target. Walk with your head up and use your eyes to scan the areas where you walk.  Predators stay away from people who do that.

if you comply, than chances are you will not need to be cuffed, though you probably will get hand cuffed.

- If you're going to be stripped search, it will be by a FEMALE officer, and chances are only two will be in the room at the time you are stripped search, they will really only do this if it is needed.

- No, you will not wear stripes. Most prisoners wear orange.

- Womens prison is different from mens. They dont really form sexual relationships, instead they form relationships that resemble a family. A lot of women act like mothers towards others, sisters, ect.

stop thinking about this for now. Don't you know you are stripping yourself naked everytime you mention or think about this. dont do this to yourself hun, it is what it is and just know that we sometimes make things much harder on ourselves by dwelling on them. dont you know that everytime you think about the reception process of prison you are taking yourself there. stay out of your own way and relax, momma said there'd be days like this..take care you'll be alright believe me I know , I've been there (mens prison)

if you were really facing prison you have already been arrested and processed through the system so you would know the drill. it's just like county jail except more secure and a longer stay.

I've used it myself numerous times while training newly hired officers.  You may be searched often; however, strip searches occur at some required points such as; when you arrive at the prison, when you move from one part of the prison to another such as General Population to Segregation etc.  Go to the BOP public website and read the policy statements about searches of inmates and their housing areas for much more information.

Yes, you will be shackled at your wrists and ankles. They will be anchored together so you will walk like a penguin.

You will be Strip Searched and you will go through a through cavity search of every o*****e on your body. You will think she is doing her best to make her hands meet half way through your body.

Whatever you do don't listen to some advice like "running before you go." Escape will really add to your sentencing and you can probably kiss parole good-bye. Shackles hands and feet are up to the facilities policies and procedures. Strip search procedure is pretty basic. Everyone is thoroughly searched when they come in. With certain state laws or circumstances will a strip be conducted; back in the day strip search was done on everybody but as far as i know it is no longer legal. In this kind of search you will have atleast one officer of the same gender searching you. The officer will not make contact with you. If any kind of cavity search is to be conducted there must be an established amount of reasoning and will be doned by a doctor. I don't know of any corrections facilities that do the black/white thing. Strip searched everyday? No I very seriously doubt it. Usually get to shower daily depending on your behavior and the facility. Almost all of the procedures carry over from male facilities to female facilities. However, behavior is not something I am aware of.

"I'm very modest" and yet you're going to prison? Good luck honey! Things will change quickly! Yeah, you will be a target, as will any new inmate.
