Female Starter Pokemon - Pokemon Diamond/Pearl?

Question

i was really surprised when this happened but i restarted my pokemon Diamond game after my friend got her pearl and I chose Piplup as my starter pokemon. It was about two weeks later and I was battling my friend when she said, "Um . . . do you realise your Piplup is a girl?" I was so shocked and I just want to know, has anyone else got a female starter pokemon?

female r the best just get um lets say u chose piplup and its female then u just go find urself a water pokemon like buizel thats male wich u can get before u reach solaceon town so u can make a team of pilups as soon as u breed them.

I was able to get a female cimchar but then i hade my game stolen and bought a new one and I cant seem to get another one is there some thing that I have to do to try and get it again?
