  1. well for birds losing feathers is like a phase

  2. I don't think you should spray.. Oh yes I think it's a brilliant idea to go to the vet...I think you should take care of her more often and look after her in case something happen..

  3. The phase birds and fowel go thru when they start shedding feathers is called molting. Most all of them do it at some time or another. As far as the flying goes, when any of them get off balance around the wings, it causes them to not be able to fly. What I mean is, if the feathers on one side are more scarce or shorter even than on the other side. We have had to clip the wings on our free range fowel to keep them from "flying the coop" so to speak. If u want to help her be able to fly sooner, you can clip the longer or fuller wing to even them out. Just don't get to close to the root. Cutting the whispy part at the end is like clipping finger nails. It doesn't hurt, but if u clip to high up, it will be painful and bleed. I suggest just waiting till the molting phase is over. The feathers will grow back in evenly and your dove should be right as rain. Still go 2 the vet 4 the cold tho.

  4. Sometimes thier tail feathers shred, because where you put the perch in the cage.If it is close to the bars, then her tail might be hiting them, causing them to shred  Doves are pare birds,so maybe shes stressed because shes by herself..
