Female hormones - development of human body?

Question

How do the different hormones in the female body link to the different stages of body development. eg, childhood, puberty, menopause and stuff :)

Estrogen is released in larger quantities in puberty leading to secondary s*x characteristics (breast development, fat deposits in hips, etc).  Estrogen/progesterone release slows then stops at menopause.
