Ok every time my lovebirds mated, the female always raises the babies alone. Im 17 and have raised birds a long time.

My male is a human I think, how he acts and loves humans. He mated and doesnt want to help the female. They always fight and im scarred he will kill the babies. He has his own cage because of how he is so territorial of his sleeping areas. He doesnt i know can raise the babies when they hatch. Female of course is sitting on her eggs. They are growing and developing well. The male is so aggressive to his female. He only loves me and just likes to mate, with no commitment.

Can my female be ok, provided all the food i give her to raise her babies ok. Im just so afaid he will kill the babies.

  1. I've had budgies and tiels that have had to do it alone, and they cope well.

Have food and water supply close to the nesting area to make it easier for the hen, but other than that leave her be and let her do her thing.

Best not to let her double clutch though...after the chicks are weaned let her have plenty of time to recover and get her condition back before allowing her to breed again.
