Question:

Female rats mating with each other...?

I have two female rats and any time one of them goes into heat (which with two females is almost constantly) the other one mounts and "mates" with her. Is this just to show domination? The rat in heat will often "assume the position" by lifting her rump and shaking. I am sure this is normal behavior, I was just wanting some insight. Thanks!

  1. yup, that's normal. i already have 287 successful breeding in this year alone(rats, guinea pigs, rabbits and hamsters)

  2. dominance. The ne on top is stating that she is dominant

  3. l***o rats, lol. Record them and sell the video on Ebay!

  4. yeah its normal, and you're probably completely sure they're booth girls because its pretty hard to mistake a boy rat for a girl rat.  Don't worry about it lol
