Female teachers, do you think this is unprofessional?

Question

My first question relates to your opinion of teachers who wear thongs. Do you think it is unprofessional or inappropriate for teachers to wear thongs? Even if it's not intentional, they might accidentally show their thong when they bend over to pick something up. What's your views? Do you ever wear a thong while teaching? How old are you?

My second question is more out of curiosity since me and some of my girlfriends were discussing this. We saw some Victoria's Secret commercial and we started talking about how many women, not girls, actually wear Victoria's Secret underwear. We also thought it was kind of funny that teachers could be shopping at the same store for underwear as their students. Do any of you teachers out there wear VS undies? If so, how old are you?

Okay, first thing is dress; as a teacher I should not try to look like one of the kids, because I'm not. Second, I don't think that I would answer that question if one of my students asked me and third, why are you spending your time worrying about what teachers wear. Let me tell you that we don't spend our time thinking about your clothes. Maybe you all need some better activities to occupy your time.

Thongs are just different kinds of underwear. Having panty lines visible would be more embarrassing, I think. If you don't have issues with regular bikini-cut underwear or whatever you prefer sticking out, I doubt that your thong would. Just be conscious.

And if you go to VS and run into a student, try to discretely get away. Meeting a teacher outside of school would be awkward enough. A lingerie store would be weirder.

I don't think that it matters if you wear them as long as they are not going to be seen. I taught school last year and wore them all the time-but the clothes I wore it was impossible to know that I was.

I have always worn Victoria's Secret underwear. I go about three times a year and buy the five for 25 deal and they last forever!! I still have a few pair that I wore in college.

So in answer to your question, yes I wear them and I am a teacher. I am 24

I do not think it is unprofessional or inappropriate at all! I wear thongs everyday because I feel they are way more comfortable than "granny panties". And, I have never had a problem with one popping out, if you wear a longer shirt that covers the top of your pants/skirt, or tuck your shirt in, you wont have that problem. I think it's more distasteful to have your underwear line showing through your pants/skirt. I occasionaly shop at Victoria's Secret, when they have their semi-annual clearance going on. I don't think it's weird or funny at all that the teachers and students would be shopping at the same store for underwear, mothers and daughters can shop for underwear together. I would be more embarassed to be the STUDENT who ran into her teacher at VS. I am in my late 20's.
