Question:

Female to female question about period & pregnancy?

Yes, I am sexually active, however I always use a condom and make my bf pull out. The last time I had s*x was July 19th-21st.

The month of August my period was about a week and a half late, nevertheless it did come.(I believe it was due to stress) It lasted five days and I used tampons throughout. (Pretty sure it's not implantation bleeding nor vaginal bleeding). I took pregnancy tests just to be sure about the time I was supposed to get my period---all were negative.

So I'm wondering--since my period was late in August, would it come when it was originally supposed to in September? And do you think I could still be pregnant? (I took a urine test yesterday morning first thing, a whole two weeks after I got my period--again negative)

Any answers would be appreciated, but please, no harsh criticism.

  1. Your not pregnant if that is what your asking.  Also there is a time when periods do become inconsistent, late.  If your period came late then it would be coungted from the last day of your late period.  If you were going to have normal periods again then count from the last day of your last period, even though it was a late period.

    Good luck

  2. It doesnt sound like you are pregnant..  your period was most likely late due to stress like you said.

Im not really sure if you should expect your period on the "original" or on the "new" cycle..  each woman is different.  Its been a long time since I had a late period.. and if I recall right, my next one after that started on the "new" cycle.

  3. Your period will "re regulate" itself several times in your lifetime for many reasons...I'd be more likely to start counting from your "unusual" period to expect your next one. As for the pregnancy, that many negatives probably mean you aren't.

  4. Well I'm no doctor but it doesn't sound to me as though you are.  There are loads of reasons we can be late and this can mess up a normally routine cycle.  Why not pop to the Dr and get their advice?  Hope this helps x

  5. You're not pregnant.  I'm pretty sure that your next period should come at the later date because you are counting your cycle days from the first day of your last period.
