Female with first-time interview at best buy.

Question

hello, im eighteen years old & applying for my first job, so im very nervous. i dont know what i should wear to best buy for an interview! any suggestions? also, what should i expect to be asked, and how long should it take. thank you!

Hi; i've interviewed many people for jobs and the most important thing is the first impression.  You will get or not get the job most often because of your first impression.  Wear something conservative, no low cut shirts or short skirts, no jeans, no heavy makeup, cover tatoos, no huge earrings, no hands with eight rings.  Try to take out extra rings from eyebrows, nose, or ears.  You are hired to represent their company, not yourself, so you have to sell yourself to them, anything that you think looks cool may be distracting to an interviewer.  Please  do not chew or chomp gum--that is an immediate job-killer.  Try to find something out about the company before you get to the interview--maybe at some point if they ask you why you want the job, you could say, "while I was researching this company, I decided it might be a great place to work." Try not to answer every question with, "I like to work with people."  Everyone says things like that and you want to stand out from the crowd so they will remember you in a positive way. Little things like do not fidget, but look the interviewer in the eye, and even if they offer you coffee or water do not eat or drink anything while interviewing are important things to remember.  Believe in yourself and be confident, if not this job, there will be others.
