Question:

Females and waxing pubes?

I've been shaving my pubes for who knows how ling and I really don't like the fact that by the next day it is all stuby. I want to try waxing but I'm only 16 and really don't want to ask my mom if I can go get waxed by a professional. I've seen over-the-counter waxing products and I was wondering how good or bad they were. I'm not afraid of pain that may come from it, but I was wondering if any type of rashes wood occur or skin irritation, things like that

  1. I definitely suggest you go in to get your bikini area waxed professionally. Other than the fact that it's incredibly hard to see down there with out getting into weird positions and bringing out several mirrors, a professional would definitely keep the hygiene element in check.

As with waxing anywhere, people with particularly sensitive skin may find they are irritated for a short while. You might have to shop around to find a place that uses natural wax, sugar wax, etc, if those are things you prefer. You might be a little bumpy for a while, but that's nothing that will not go away in about 24 hours.

I know just how you feel. I hate the shaving experience, and I'm glad I've moved onto waxing. It's a little painful at first, but it's nothing you won't be able to bear. And if you're extra sensitive, you could always take some ibuprofen (advil) or acetaminophen (tylenol) before you go into the waxing parlor.

A brazillian usually costs around 25-45 dollars-- a little pricey but I think a month of stubble free skin is definitely worth it. I don't think 16 is too early, if you were concerned about your age-- I started when I was 17 (I'm 19 now) and nothing has gone wrong.

    Best of luck to ya!

  2. You may get some irritation due to the waxing, I don't think you would get rashes though.

  3. just use more shaving cream and cut a little bit close. go up the first time and down the second. and use one of the shavers with the aloe side. I'm not sure how to spell it but it has like a soothing thing after it gets wet. once it hits the shaving cream and the water it puts out some soothing lotion stuff so yeah try that.
