Just curious if my percentage of having multiples on Femara is about the same as clomid? I also don't really know the numbers with clomid either. I have PCOS and will be starting Femara really soon, and I'm super excited to start my cycle to take it! lol, I never would have thought that I would be excited about af showing up!!! Thank you for the help!! :o)

  1. Femara and Clomid both show about the same risk for twins - about 10% increased risk.

I tried Clomid but not Femara . . . but heard great things about Femara - less side effects.

Good luck and loads of baby dust to you!

  2. It is about an 8-10% increase chance of twins and even less of a chance for triplets, quads, etc.  It is the same for Clomid and Femara.  I suppose the higher the dose and how well your body responds to the medication can effect the chances.  Most women have 1 mature follicle or possibly 2 while on these medications.  I took Clomid for 3 cycles and had a lot of side effects but I hear Femara has less side effects.  Best wishes ttc!!!!!
