Questions for the feminists, what type of partner would you find desirable? Please be as honest as possible, include physical appearance, type of employment, morals.

Take in to account that I am asking about your IDEAL partner, we can all say "none of that superficial stuff matters" but I am sure we all have an opinion on this.

Thanks so much.

Cheers&Peace

  1. Physical appearance - about 5'4-5'10, muscular in proportion to the rest of his body, short/shaved hair, nice smile, sparkling eyes

Employment - some kind of techie/scientific discipline

Morals - some with an open mind who believes in having fun so long as people are not harmed

  2. To marry, the "ideal" for me, physically and otherwise, would be with a man like played by Ken Watanabe (Lord Katsumoto) in the film, "The Last Samurai" in a remote peaceful misty mountain village like the one in the film, without the war, of course, and no stores or cars or concrete or powerlines, just a clean and simple natural life with my gardens and a strong, wise good man, learning and loving together in harmony. I was born in a lovely Japanese village like that.

  3. i want a man thats open minded

and is not afraid to say "I am a Feminist

  4. My *ideal* partner?

Dark hair, blue eyes, wire-rimmed glasses, good tenor (singing voice), geeky, usually wears black but enjoys dressing up in colorful costumes sometimes, computer programmer, slightly on the bisexual side of straight, likes kids and pets but doesn't necessarily insist on having them, well-educated, fluent in Japanese....

I have a long list of things that would go towards my platonic ideal partner, but they're all pretty specific to me, I don't think they'll be that similar to other people's desires.

  5. My ideal partner does not have to be educated with degrees and such. Having a degree does not necessarily mean the person is intelligent. But I do hate ignorance. My partner must be socially, culturally, emotionally, racially etc. intelligent. He must love travel, and not to the over-rated resorts, but must actually enjoy the country that he is visiting.

He must not base his life decisions on what society expects. My partner will probably have to be a stay-at-home dad.

  6. In all honesty, I don't have a list of wants, just a list of what I DON'T want. It includes:

    -obvious muscle

-enough money to support two adults

    -the desire for kids

-a traditional outlook on gender (duh)

    -a generally right-wing worldview

  7. I'm a nerd. Most guys I've dated have been nerds, too.

  8. Being as honest as I can be, an educated one, bachelor degree at least, on first place, I want a guy who doesn't want another mom, but an equal to share responsibilities, a man who doesn't expect is my responsible to cook, to clean or to take charge of children. I want a man who can loves me for who I am. Talking about looks,  I don't care if my friends doesn't think He's cute, if I do, so, on this point is very difficult to explain, my current bf is tall, blond, slim, beautiful smile,  and he's an artist!...

  9. Physically, I like them tall and lean. I have a weakness for long hair. Personal hygiene, however, must be 100%.

I like techno-geeks: IT guys, engineers, scientists. Book readers (particularly sci-fi). Music lovers (no pop music, though). History buffs. Inquiring minds. Guys who like to travel. Sharp sense of humor. Able to tell stories.

Being racist, sexist or homophobic is an immediate deal-breaker with me in a relationship.

  10. The one I have.  Physically, I honestly don't care.  He's overweight, has oily hair, wears glasses and has acne, but I love him.  He's intelligent, kind, fun, warm and basically a good person.  He works in computing, but that's not a requirement as far as I'm concerned.  Of course, it comes in handy since I'm a geek and we can spend our time discussing computer, and he doesn't mind that I love playing with electronics.  Were something to happen to him, I'd want to find someone similar in personality.
