  1. Duh. I pay half the bills because I work outside the home and I'm happier than I would be staring at the four walls.

  2. because of feminism we have p**n now. thats something

  3. Someday guys who cry, cook, sew, raise kids, or are Women's Studies professors, etc wont cause Americans to do a double take.

The quest for gender equity has also given benefits to homosexual men as now there is proof that one guy can work outside the home while the other takes on the role of "homemaker".

Oh, and heterosexual guys also get loads more s*x as it becomes less likely that a woman will be called a dirty s**t for having s*x. This double standard of guys scoring all the time and women remaining virgins has always left people wondering who heterosexual men are having s*x with...

Finally, I'm so tired of people saying feminism is anti-male. Feminism is pro-woman and has spawned a movement called Humanism. If you think that being pro-woman means being anti-men then you have issues.

  4. your Mother, Sister, and wife would have higher wages, would have more rights and choices. They wife would be less likely to be looked over for a promotion, More time for Maternity care, better Health care for a woman's issue.  Feminism would even the playing field and there is never anything wrong with that. Also don't think about yourself think about the country and ALL who live in it.

  5. Equal rights and equal opportunity ideally make for equal responsibility.

You don't have to work 80 hours a week busting your butt when the lady of the house can get out of the kitchen and get a job.

That and you're not supposed to "benefit" from it, it's a presumed human right.

  6. It does not and is not supposed to benefit men.

  7. Men benefit by not having to be the sole providers for their families and (if they bother trying this) by not having to act like macho men when that's not who they really are.

  8. Feminism doesn't benefit men in anyway, if anything, it actually harm men in many ways; anyone with common sense would know this.  It is a movement of affirmative action, special perks and special privileges for women at men's expense.  Feminists, for decades, have pushed for sexist laws and acts that discriminates against men and published a plethora of anti-male literature.  They still doing it nowadays.

It's time for people to wake up and realize this and stop buying into the s*** that feminist have feed them for decades.

Saying that feminism also benefits men is like saying that the KKK movement also benefits blacks.

  9. I joke about saying how woman are useless, but this is nothing more than jokes.

I am not someone that discriminates against anyone.

And yes, I have rarely seen a woman that does not own 74 pairs of shoes.

  10. Actually, you are not exactly supposed to "benefit" from feminism. You're not doing badly anyway, are you? Still more men in responsible positions, making more money than a woman doing the same job... yada-yada. Feminism was first about female rights, and is now about equal rights.

But you could argue that men DO indeed benefit from feminism: you no longer have to carry the burden of having to do everything by yourself, i.e. shoulder all the responsibilty of working, making money, making tough decisions etc. but you can share that burden with your girlfriend/fiancée/wife. You also benefit from feminism, at least around here, in the way that you can officially take "father-time" now that women work in companies, offices and factories as well - not that they never "worked" as wives and mothers, mind.

Not too long ago, men hardly saw anything of their kids apart from week-ends; these days you can take time off as a dad and spend more quality time with your kids at an early age, when most changes happen. You can be there when your son first walks, speaks, kicks a ball around.

Apart from that, you have to take it seriously either way; at least if you're the believing-in-the-Constitution type. Or the humanistic type. Or, basically, the I-want-to-have-a-woman-by-my-side type. Huh? ;)

  11. I see, so if human rights don't personally benefit your group, then you're opposed to them?  I like to think a fairer society benefits us all  :-)

  12. Well, a craggy old police veteran told me he was glad that women were being allowed to be police officers. He said it allowed the old veterans to show a softer side of themselves without fearing criticism.

  13. By getting rid of the stereotypes about how men are and how women are, men are freer to be who and what they are.

People vary. Yet there are these ideas that men are supposed to all be unfeeling brutes, or ambitious, or mechanically inclined.

By looking at reality (people vary), we'll become more accepting of natural variability. If a man's wife fixes things, he shouldn't have to take hits for it, and be told he's not a REAL man. If a man is moved, or grieving, or hurt, it's better for him that he not have to deal with people telling him he's not allowed to experience those feelings. It's both healthier and less unpleasant.

Feminism has benefited those men who want to spend time caring for their children -- something that was unthinkable before.

Feminism has pushed for rights of workers to take time off, or have varied schedules, without losing their jobs, in order to care for young or sick loved-ones. A man shouldn't have to give up all family-life to keep his job.

Pre-feminism, women were told to pretend to be idiots, or uninterested in many things. This lead many women to avoid many subjects and interests, or to fake ignorance and lack of interest.

Now, there are women who'll happily watch, say, football, rather than press for the man to do other things with her. And women are more likely to be honest in their opinions about other matters, rather than leaving the men completely clueless about what the women in their lives really think and feel.

Every member of society benefits when the best people are engaged in doing the jobs they're most suited for. For instance, there's a woman who's developing prosthetic hands, that will be indistinguishable from people's lost hands -- that will work like real hands, and that other people won't realize are fake. Every person who has lost their hand and gets one will have benefited. (This is just ONE example that springs to mind, of how, when people are allowed to follow their interests, everyone benefits.)

To answer your last question, though: Every person who wants to think of themselves as a decent human being should take seriously all human rights movement. It's wrong to treat any human as property. Those of us who care about right and wrong don't need to be a member of a group to support human rights for that group.

Men who are willing to deny all human rights to every human who isn't just like them aren't fully human themselves.

  14. Feminism is a female supremacist ideology.

It doesn't benefit men in any way. On the contrary it hurt us.

Who do you think finances all the feminist programs? Because of feminism where stuck paying high tax's.

Feminism's impact on the judicial system.. if your ever unlucky enough to get married and then divorced you could thank feminism for having a 0% chance of getting a fair trial.

+ The "reverse discrimination" that feminist's instituted at all levels of education have no only increased the percentage of male drop outs but have also dramatically increased the number of male suicides.

Feminism is an anti-male hate  movement that must be extinguished if we can ever hope to see a better world.

  15. If feminists were consistent all the time with their beliefs about equal treatment for men and women, men would benefit from feminism.  However, that's the problem.  Most of them are hypocrites in one form or another.  Many of them still want chivalrous treatment without giving it back, for instance.  Others will find all sorts of excuses as to why women do something but men can't.  I haven't actually met a single feminist who truly was for equal treatment in all circumstances (excluding a few issues dealing with basic biology of men and women that require different treatment, obviously).

Someone addressed something to me in an e-mail.  I should've said I've never met anyone in person who thinks like that.  There's maybe a couple of you on here who I believe are truly for equality 100% of the time.

Four thumbs down and none up?  It still hasn't beat my record of 6 down and 0 up.  Get to it, people!

  16. Men benefit from feminism by being treated equally.  If you enjoy superiority or inferiority, then you won't benefit.

  17. u can meet god with a clear conshense noing u did the right thing for ur daughters an grandaughters...

  18. Men have benefited from feminism ever since the sexual revolution when women decided to abandon sexual purity having s*x as a recreational activity with no commitment or love  and use the birth control pill as well. Men then not only got to have s*x whenever they wanted to and without being married, but also no longer had to use a condom. And, woman did it willingly, and without being paid, as was the custom with the only group of women who did this prior to the sexual revolution- namely prostitutes.

  19. Traditionally feminism was simply a way of getting women to be recognized as being able to work hard and earn their way in society without men. Men don't benefit from feminism, why would we need to? Ideally, men would have nothing to gain nor lose from feminism other than "ownership" of women.

Unfortunately, it's been taken a little farther than it should have been. There are a disturbing number of feminists that have gone more in the "female supremist" route-- attempting to take rights away from men rather than fighting for their own rights. And even without that, men have been adversely effected by feminism in certain ways, namely numerous double standards in their favor. We still have plenty of ours, but so do they.

Feminism, in that name, is no longer necessary. It was created back when women REALLY NEEDED TO BE EMPOWERED. Now they can work for, for the most part, equal pay. There is still sexism in our society, but now it goes both ways. Moving for equality should be called "Humanism", not feminism, because feminism addresses women only. We need to address the entire human species.

... well actually there's one thing men can gain from feminism. Independent and confident women are hot. ;)

  20. For a brief period, "double income no kids" ("dinks") couples could, with their combined income, purchase a much better home than could be purchased with a single income.

Then, of course, the market caught up, and now an average family can't afford an average home with only a single income.

You've come a long way, baby.  Welcome to wage slavery.
