Lorena was the woman who cut off 'the little thing that stood between them'

John Bobbitt who been intoxicated after a night of partying return home to Lorena in 1994 and assaulted her, was tried and acquitted for this alleged spousal rape!

Lorena was taken into custody and charged with "malicious wounding". After her arrest, she commented to police that "He always have an o****m and he doesn't wait for me to have an o****m. He's selfish."

I don't find accusations of drunken attacks or rape funny-nor do I find the accusation of hacking body parts off of your partner as funny in the least. I despise violence of any kind-regardless of the gender of the perpetrator.

It does not bring a smile to my face- it is yet another depressing example of the inherent sexism and injustices that lie within the American legal system. Spousal rape is not a laughing matter, and it is a very real occurrence that many women nationally and internationally face , and unfortantaly, their voices very rarely get heard, or taken seriously!
