Question:

Fence for Pasture? Answer ASAP!?

Our pet goats have been getting out of their pastuer A LOT! And it has gotten so bad with the neighbors the police became involved and now we have to get rid of them! Me and my sister just can't let go of them! They are a part of our family! We love them so much! If you know of any good strong fencing to help..... ..... :( Thank you for your help......

  1. Go for the electric fence sounds a little cruel but its not i accidentally zapped myself on ours one time and it doesn't hurt its just like "hey wtf" so they'll learn not to do it also if you really want to you could put like a back up fence like a couple feet from their regular only cause it's very serious and you dont want to risk loosing them good luck with that

I would suggest getting something like chicken wire to put down the entire fence.  If you currently have something like a 3 rail fence, the chicken wire will keep them from getting between the planks.  You can also hook up a hot wire along the fence line, so if they touch the fence, it zaps them.  This will help them from trying to escape again.  Otherwise, check the height of your fence....how are they escaping...through it, or over it?

  3. I would use box fencing or chicken fencing. maybe try having the electric fence inside the fenceline maybe add another line
