Fender Jaguar for metal?

i guess i'm just lookin for a pat on the back, but does anyone besides me think its awesome/funny/original that during my days as a metalcore player, my main guitar was a fender jaguar (with a duncan sh-6 distortion pickup in the bridge and a fender dragster pickup in the neck)? i think its awesome. i also used a telecaster with an invader.

this might just make my mind up and go out and buy a jaguar. I think they look awesome
