  1. make sure its in tune, then check to see if the action(the hieght between the strings and the fret board) on the guitar is to high causing the strings to vibrate. You van adjust this by the tiny bolts on the saddles(the little pieces with a spring behind it that you pull the string through). If that doesnt help your neck may need a shim(a tiny piece of wood that the guitar shop puts between the neck and the body). or the worst your neck could be warped if this is true leave the repair to highly trained individuals.

  2. Could be you have a "wolf" tone -- something you usually see on violins, not on Strats.  A wolf is simply a certain tone whose vibration kicks off a sympathetic vibration on the instrument.  Once solution is to damp down on the vibrating part of the instrument -- a problem with an acoustic instrument, but doable on an electric one.

Try taking a clothespin and clamping it on the bridge -- clamp it to the part you suspect is vibrating the most.  Hit your problem string -- does it still "buzz".  If not, you've identified your wolf.  You can remove the clothespin and try to find a less objectionable way to tighten up the offending hardware.

If it still buzzes, then I'd check again to make sure string height isn't the issue.
