Fender-bender question?

I was involved in a fender-bender Monday night, I reported it to my insurance agency as soon as I got home and exchanged information with the other party. No one was injured and damages to both cars were very slight. Cops weren't called at scene of accident. Tonight a state trooper came to my door asking if I was involved in a crash, and asked for my boyfriend. Boyfriend came to the door, state trooper asked for his license, etc. He asked my boyfriend if he knew his license was suspended, he replied with "no, I wasn't aware, but I wasn't the one driving the vehicle". Apparently the other driver stated to the cop that he was the one driving and not me. As soon as the crash happened, my boyfriend got out of the car to see if the other party was alright so i'm guessing that's why he thought it was him driving. The cop said he's going to double check with the other guy, yada. He went over the crash report with me, then he left. He didn't ask for my license though? What's going to happen?
