The President of the Turkish outfit has admitted that he is distressed by the scandal that threatens disqualification, but maintained that the time has come for the club to make a big signing.
President Aziz Yildirim has voiced Fenerbahce’s dream to sign Wesley Sneijder from Inter Milan, and has stated that the star midfielder will be a great gift to the club’s fans in the dismal situation.
The Dutch international has been in the midst of transfer speculation following a less-than-impressive season at San Siro, and another club has jumped into the race to sign his services that also has Russian club Anzhi in the running.
The Turkish outfit are currently in the middle of a match-fixing scandal, which could lead to the club’s disqualification in the near future by Turkish FA.
Aziz Yildirim admitted that the club is going through a rough time due to their alleged links with the match-fixing probe, but insisted that the club needs a move that will change the gloomy demeanour at the outfit.
The Fenerbahce chief stated that he will be looking to acquire the services of Wesley Sneijder for their next season, and insisted that the transfer of the Dutch playmaker will be a great present by the club to their fans.
While talking to the press, the patron of the Turkish giants said:

Sneijder is currently valued at €25 million, and recently a posted an entry on twitter dismissing all rumours of his move away from Inter Milan.
The tweet also revealed that he will soon join his Nerazzurri team-mates for the pre-season training.

While talking to the media, the Belgian midfielder was confident that the Nerazzurri will be able to challenge for the Scudetto in their next season.
