Question:

Feng Shui SW corner (relationships/marriage) is bathroom, Kitchen sinks in SE. Should I just move?

After two years in my home I have come to realize that my kitchen sink is in the Southeast (wealth) part of the home and in the Southwest (relationships) corner is where the bathroom is located. Does this mean all of my love and money is just going down the drain(s)? Technically its the South wall of my home, the kitchen and bathroom are lined up across the South wall. The entrance is in the Southeast corner as well, on the Eastern wall. How do I counteract/balance this? Or is it hopeless and I should move?

  1. you should first:

    1) make exact house plan on paper.

    2) using compass mark every direction so you know EXACTLY which room faces which direction

then align bagua map to see which room is which bagua sector

sink in the southeast or bathroom in the southwest do not mean that everything goes down the drain. it means that you should be extra careful and clean the areas and keep them working.

also, you should decorate every room with its colors according to feng shui bagua - in this case you support all the elements and create balanced environment

you can also go on and place special feng shui items in every direction. for instance, if your sink is in southeast - place feng shui item like coins or money frog directly under the sink to activate the power of wealth so money frog attracts all the wealth that could be going down the drain.

  2. From what you say, you use the 8 Aspirations system of Feng Shui. Before thinking about move, you should check your home using the 8 Mansions and the Flying Stars system of Feng Shui, which are much more accurate.

You will see that Feng Shui takes more into account. According to the Flying Stars system, you can perfectly have a chart which improves or is especially favorable to relationships and wealth.

You can find all information about it (theory, calculators, etc.) here:

  3. I think the belief in Feng Shui is great but not enough to base your life on, and move because of it, and base your relationship on. Feng Shui is not going to ruin your relationship. 50% communication, 50% compromise.

  4. By all means. Don't let logic and economics stand in the way of your ridiculous superstition.

  5. Personally, your home is what you make it to be, not what some eastern quazi-religious mumbo-jumbo tells you. If you start throwing away housing based on these criteria, then you had better be plenty rich enough to keep this up all your life, because, unless you can build what you want from scratch, there will never be a PERFECT house. Be thankful you are not in the street begging for money and shelter.
