Fennell Bay heading for dominating the PHS Washroom Services Handicap (Betfair 10 Furlong Flat Series Qualifier) at Haydock
The Class 5 PHS Washroom Services Handicap (Betfair 10 Furlong Flat Series Qualifier) will be hosted by Haydock over a mile, two furlongs and ninety-five yards on Friday, 25th May. The line-up assembled for the race includes fifteen three-year-old runners.
Fennell Bay, Dubawi’s three-year-old bay colt out of mare, Woodrising, has won twice out of the four racing ventures that he undertook during the new season. He started off with the season on 31st March in the Best Odds Guaranteed @ Williamhill.Com Handicap (London Mile Qualifier) at Kempton over a mile.
The race was won by Savanna Days who led the runner up, Clean Bowled, by 1 ¾ lengths. The 2/1 favourite of the race, Gabrial’s Gift, ended third on the track of seven.
His very next race was on 24th April in the £32 Free At 32Red.Com Handicap at Southwell over a mile. He won the race by just half a length’s margin from the runner up, Outlaw Torn. Fennell Bay was coupled with Joe Fanning for the race.
The 11/10 favourite of the race, Crowning Star, finished third with four others racing.
He once again missed a race but this time the ranking was more decent.
He finished third in the 1.3 Million Attheraces.Com Users Handicap over a mile at Ascot on 11th May. The race was won by Warfare who had Jamie Spencer onboard and a one and a half lengths’ lead.
Qualifying as the runner up of the race was Tight Lipped while reserving the third spot was Fennell Bay. The 7/2 favourite of the race, Presburg, ended sixth on the track of seven.
His most recent race and success was in the Streets Chartered Accountants Handicap on 18th May at Newmarket over a mile. He escaped the reeling in runner up, Sardanapalus, by just half a length and had Mirco Demuro guiding him through the track.
Twelve Strings, the 7/2 favourite of the race, concluded the race seventh on the field of sixteen.
Two wins out of four tries is not a bad rate and today he has all the chances of making it through the wire before the rest get to accomplish that.
