no difference....  a 50 mcg fentanyl patch is a slow release pain medicine appied to the skin.  there is no difference between a generic brand and a name brand.

Fentanyl is the generic name of a narcotic pain medication sold in patch form.  It is also sold under the trade names Duragesic and Actiq.  But either way, you're getting the same drug - Fentanyl

The first Fentanyl Patch I had contained a gel between two films. Now I just have the film with the Fentanyl impregnated into it. I think in the USA they still doe the gel, while in Europe they got rid of the gel. However either way they both work. Best of Luck
