Ferdia Oscar to grab the big medal in Townviewfoods.com Champion Stakes A2 525 at Shelbourne Park
The punters should not judge Ferdia Oscar on his recent performance, as he is capable of doing far better work than he did earlier this month. Trained by McCartney, the August-10 son of Head Bound out of Debidee Lane is expected to raise his game and blitz
the rivals in the Townviewfoods.com Champion Stakes A2 525, scheduled to be held at Shelbourne Park on Wednesday, July 11th.
After producing plenty of good stuff in a couple of trial races, the white and black dog could not continue his good form, when sent in a similar race on July 4th.
He made a huge mistake at the fourth bend and as a result, wasted all his chances of bagging the first prize. Despite trying his best in final stages of the event, he could only seize the fourth place.
He has got a good idea about the conditions at Shelbourne Park and thus, one can expect him to do a lot better job this time. His finishing time of 29.25 seconds in trials shows how dangerous he can be on his day.
Among his opponents are: Piercestown Ball, Paddock Bluebell, Tic Tok Causeway, Amberly and Bandicoot Lexi. The €350 meeting will be kicked off at 21:55 (GMT).
Paddock Bluebell is likely to get decent odds, but we don’t expect him to enthral tonight. After clinching an easy win last month, the black b***h could not maintain the standards and fell third last time out.
Bandicoot Lexi has won a similar race in the past, but it is quite hard to recommend her for the top prize after her two terrible performances lately. Luck is not on Piercestown Ball’s side these days, as he was third in his previous two races. He will be
able to do well, only if he gets a clear run.
Amberly is going through a lean patch these days. Tic Tok Causeway is unlikely to open the door of success, despite the fact that the white and black dog was an easy winner last time around.
Ferdia Oscar is facing a star-studded line-up, nevertheless, everything looks in his favour tonight. Good luck to all the runners.
