Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rio-Ferdinand-c31173 has admitted that he is rather disappointed to be omitted from the England squad.
The defender has gone on to make an impressive eighty one appearances for England following him making his debut for the national team in 1997. However, it seems like his term as a representative for the national team has come to an end, with him being omitted
from the twenty three man squad, that Roy Hodgson picked for the upcoming Euros.
Chelsea’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anton-Ferdinand-c6260 this season.
Ferdinand took to his Twitter account to talk about his omission from the squad and is reported to have said: "Absolutely loved playing for england....to say I'm gutted is an understatement of the highest order"
Hodgson has gone on to insist that he made the decision based on his plans for the team and because of the implications that it would have on the team. He insisted that it had nothing to do with the row between Terry and Ferdinand, since he didn’t want any
external affairs to have an impact on him.
When talking about leaving Ferdinand out of the England squad, Hodgson is reported to have said: "It was a hard phone call to make. It was based purely on football and nothing else.”

"He is a man I respect. I had to make a football decision on the basis of what I have seen in recent months."
Given the fact that Ferdinand is now thirty three years old, it seems like he is more than likely not going to feature for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 in any major tournaments.
However, the player shouldn’t be surprised at his omission from the squad, considering the fact that Terry proved to be a better defender for his team this past season.
Nonetheless, given the nature of the row between the two players, there are going to be a number of conspiracy theories coming to light in the near future and it is up to the players to try and calm things down, before they get out of hand.
