Rio Ferdinand has been hampered by injuries, poor form and suspension this season. However, he is current vice-captain of the England team and is in next in line if John Terry is relieved of his duties. But will the 31-year-old be a first choice centre back in the tournament? If he isn’t, he wouldn’t be the best choice for the job.
