Manchester United’s defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rio-Ferdinand-c31173 has insisted that he wants to try his hands at being a manager in the future.
The defender was left out of the England squad for the upcoming Euro 2012 and this means that the player is most probably not going to represent the national side again.
However, the player seems to have some other plans up his sleeves, as he has revealed that he would one day like to be managing a team, in order to really fulfill everything that he set out to do.
“As the months and years have gone by I think I have come round to the idea of doing some sort of coaching or being a manager"
"Obviously I love football and all the tactics but I also think I would like the day-to-day responsibility of cajoling players and bringing the best out of them.”
"Man-management is so important these days. I think I would love that side of it."
He then talked about his first game with England and that he still remembered how it was when he got the call up.
However, he admitted that since he knew how it felt, he could do a decent http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 of controlling the feelings and emotions of any player that he gets to manage in the future.
"I remember what it was like when I first went into the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 squad. It’s hard going into any new squad, so I do try and help," he continued.
"It can be frightening. It’s always good to have someone looking out for you when you are new to it.”
"So, yeah, I suppose I try to do that and would like to develop those skills."
Ferdinand is now set to see out his playing days as a Manchester United player, but given his age, it might not be long before he ends up calling it quits as a player altogether.
However, the sooner the player ends up retiring from playing the sport, the earlier he can go on and take up the chance of managing a team.
It is now anybody’s guess as to what the United defender will be doing the future.
