“He’s been a fantastic servant to the club over the past seven years. He is the ultimate professional and such a nice lad. He never let us down on the big occasions,” he said.
“Unfortunately, I just couldn’t give him the number of games he wanted. Everyone at Manchester United wishes him well for the future and I am sure he will be a great success at QPR,” the veteran tactician was quoted as saying.
The former Korean skipper’s move to the capital may also hold an unexpected surprise for him, as manager Mark Hughes is considering him as the next captain and may well hand him the armband before August.
Although used to lifting silverware every May, Ji-Sung Park will have to settle for something less at QPR but nonetheless the club are spending heavily on new recruits and are expecting great things from the upcoming term.
