Manchester United’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has gone on to insist that the Premier League season is still not over and that anything could happen in the near future.
Given the fact that United had a massive eight point lead over City just a couple of days ago, many believed that the title race was as good as being over.
However, following a shock defeat, the gap between the two teams was reduced to just five points and Ferguson has now gone on to insist that the season is not over till the last game is played.
When talking about the way the season has gone and just how his team has performed, the Red Devils boss is quoted to have said: “We had six games to go, six games left to play, and I would never think that it’s over, not in the fact that we still had difficult
league games at Wigan, City and Sunderland.”
He then went on to talk about the challenging games that his side would play in the coming weeks and he went on to add: “Everton at home is against one of the better form teams in the league at the moment so we know it’s a hard http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 and that’s what the league’s
about. We know that it’s hard at the start and hard at the end.”
“I don’t have any doubts about their temperament. I think there’s enough experience in the place.”
The Red Devils boss then ended by claiming that it was never a wise move to claim for the season to be over, as he went on to talk about just how Rafael Benitez made this mistake a couple of seasons ago and that it came back to haunt him in the end.
“It happens and we’re aware of that. Two or three years ago http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 beat us 4-1 at Old Trafford remember? And that genius [Rafael] Benitez said that they planned to beat us by playing long balls behind us.”
