Manchester United’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has admitted that his teams upcoming game against Manchester City could end up deciding who wins the Premier League.
United are currently sitting on top of the league table and are three points ahead of City. However, with both the teams now set to face each other on Monday, that lead could be cut down to zero points. At the same time, City could go on and claim top spot,
given their superior goal difference.
The Red Devils boss was previously not feeling any pressure on his shoulders, but it seems like he has finally started to realize just how important this upcoming match really is.
When talking about the game, Ferguson is quoted to have said: "We have to get used to playing Manchester City in important games. They are not going away.”
“The support they have means we are going to be playing them in a lot of big games"
“If we are going to be contesting for league titles regularly - and I think we will be doing - it will become just as important as the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 game.”
He then went on to highlight that a lot was at stake going into the game and that even the smallest of slip ups could see his side miss out on the Premier League crown.
He admitted that him along with his players were looking forward to the game, but it wasn’t going to be a walk in the park. The team has already lost to City by six goals to one earlier in the season and another defeat to their local rivals would end their
season for good.
"You would have to be a confirmed m*******t to enjoy it"
"But we are looking forward to it and the players will be fully prepared for it.”
United are going to have to avoid repeating the performance they put up earlier on in the season and this time around, they can’t afford to sit around and let City do all the talking.
It is now a wait to see just what team ends up winning the Premier League.
