Manchester United’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has gone on to praise Paul Scholes, following the midfielders brilliant performances against QPR.
United took on QPR, with hopes of going eight points clear at the top of the table. Following an emphatic display, which saw http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 score from a penalty and Paul Scholes chip in with a signature goal from distance, United went on to achieve just that.
At the same time, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 going on and beating City by one goal to nil, it seems like the title race is as good as over.
However, Ferguson believes that Paul Scholes is one of the reasons for his team playing as good as they have in recent weeks.
Following the midfielder’s return to the United squad, the team has gone on to pick up thirty four points, from the thirty six that they could have picked up and those numbers pretty much speak for themselves.
When talking about Scholes and his breathtaking performances, Ferguson is quoted to have said: "That was a typical http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394 goal," said Ferguson. "He has scored three since he came back into the fold and we have only dropped two points.”
"You see the control of the game he has and the way he controlled the tempo of the game. That has never changed. At 37, he is still capable of that.”
"He is a great player and integral to what has happened over the past few weeks."
The manager then went on to insist that there are only six games left to go in the game and hopefully, his side will be able to see out the season and pick up the points that are required to win the league for the twentieth time.
"There are only six left now. Three at home, three away. Hopefully we can run it out."
United now have a number of relatively easy games to go through, but the team can’t afford to suffer slip ups.
Given how City are still hot on their heels, it is going to be interesting to see just how the Red Devils manage to maintain their focus and go on and pick up the title of being English Champions.
