Manchester United’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrick-Vieira-c29316 for his comments about the Red Devils.
Vieira went on to insist that United did not have a game plan and were starting to look desperate in recent weeks.
He then went on to claim that the team’s desperation was apparent because of the fact that they had to go on and bring back Paul Scholes from retirement.
However, Ferguson has gone on to hit back at the Frenchman, as he slammed Manchester City and their decision to bring back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez.
The Red Devils boss, when talking about the situation is reported to have said: "If it’s desperation bringing back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394, the best midfielder in Britain for the last 20 years, then I think we can accept that”
“Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 had a little dig at us a couple of weeks back. We’re all going to play our hand. I have plenty of ammunition that way.”
“Desperation? On Wednesday they played a player who refused to go on the pitch and the manager had said he would never play for them again. What is that?”
The manager then went on to praise the veteran midfielder and claimed that he still has just what it takes to play at the highest level possible.
Ferguson said: "He can dictate the tempo of games very well. He has the experience. He has a terrific football brain."
The manager then went on to reveal that the reason the midfielder retired was because he played far too many games and given his age, that just wasn’t possible. As a result, the two initially decided that it was time for Scholes to call it quits.
“The reason he wanted to retire was because he wanted to play 50 games, not 25 games. It was because he wanted to play more,” he said.
Nonetheless, it is now a wait to see whether the midfielder signs another one year extension on his stay at the club.
