Manchester United manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson is not happy with the way his side played against Ajax in the Europa League, despite picking up a two goals to nil win.
United took on Ajax in the Europa League, in a game that was going to be a real test for both the sides. After a rather boring first half, United turned on in the second half, as they went on to score two goals and win the game.
Despite picking up the win, Ferguson has admitted that he isn’t very happy about the way the team played and feels that they could have done a whole lot more.
The United boss believes his side played in a very ordinary manner and this was simply not good enough anymore.
The manager is quoted to have said:  “I’m delighted by the score line. I thought it was a very ordinary performance by us.”
“We didn’t reach any great heights in the game, but we did improve in the second half and we probably deserved to win it.”
After admitting his side deserved to win, Ferguson highlighted the fact that a rhythm was missing from the Red Devils performance, which just made it look like they were lacking a certain cutting edge.
He also claimed that the performance in the second half was better than the first, but was in no way a brilliant display of the quality that the team possess.
Ferguson then went on to add: “I didn’t think we played well at all. There was no rhythm to our game.”
“Not a brilliant performance in the second half, but good enough I think.”
Despite Ferguson’s complaints about his team’s performance in the game, he would be more than happy to go into the second leg, having picked up a two goal advantage. At the same time, the fact that United scored these two goals away from home is only going
to give them an even bigger boost in the second leg.
Nonetheless, it is now a wait to see just how United go on and perform in their upcoming games and whether they can manage to give the manager a performance to be proud of.
