The Red Devils have reportedly upped their chase to sign James Rodriguez from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 after the winger’s agent hinted on a move away from Estadio do Dragao.
As one of the most talented players on the continent, the Colombian has been on the radar of several top clubs in the past year or so.
Starting out on the right wing, the youngster has a tendency to cut inside with his superb left foot and have a crack at goal whenever given the opportunity, although he can also play a more creative role, by checking back the ball and pinging in crosses
for the strikers.
At Porto, he was not considered by Andre Villas-Boas as a regular starter and instead spent most of his time on the bench, while his countryman Christian Rodriguez took to the pitch.
However James eventually proved his worth to his employers and was awarded a berth on the right hand side, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson and
Manchester United.
The Scottish tactician is currently embroiled with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nani-c27299 over contract disputes and the general feeling is that the Portuguese International might seek a move to Juventus, rather than extending his deal at the helm.
Ferguson, being an avid supporter of wingmen, has allegedly decided to cash in on the former Sporting Lisbon man and launch a bid for Rodriguez.
The veteran tactician’s decision has been met with positive replies, with the player’s agent revealing that a switch to Old Trafford might be on the cards.
“There is nothing new to report. This is a matter to be discussed with Porto.”
“Within a couple of weeks I plan to go to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 to speak with the leaders of Porto. I cannot talk more about this as it is so complex,” the representative was quoted as saying.
The ever impressive Rodriguez scored 13 goals in all competitions and with quality in large abundance; he could become a Manchester United player sooner rather than later, with the transfer fee the only stumbling block in the proposed move.
