The Manchester United manager claims that he is still not over the way his side gifted the Premier League to City and was hoping that they make amends this time around.
While http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 and his men started the 2011/12 season in the best manner possible and trounced their neighbours in their very own backyard, the club were not in the lead as the business end of the campaign edged closer.
United had managed to secure an eight point lead on top of the Premiership table and were in pole position to scoop up their 20th title, however they failed to capitalize on the opportunity and saw the Citizens pick up the trophy after dispatching
QPR in the very last second of game.
Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 and the Dutchman scored during the electric Manchester derby earning three points for his side.
While the 19-time English champions have managed to secure a six point lead at the top, they are still ruing last May’s incredible loss, with Ferguson himself claiming that he was still not fully over the disappointment on the last day of the season.
"I've still got a wee bit of anger in me, thinking of how we threw the league away last season. It was another day in the history of Manchester United. That's all it was. It created the drama that only United can produce. My motivation to the players will
be that we can't let City beat us twice in a row,” the tactician said while talking to reporters.
Continuing, he reflected on the modern game, claiming that times have changed immensely and no longer can a coach retain harmony in the dressing room as the power has been transferred to the players instead of the managers.
"Some English clubs have changed managers so many times that it creates power for the players in the dressing room and that is very dangerous. Football management in the end is all about the players. You think you are a better player than they are, and they
think they are a better manager than you are,” Ferguson was quoted as saying while speaking to the media.
