Manchester United’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has taken the blame for the poor form that his side displayed in Europe this season, but claims that his team will be lethal in Europe in the future.
The Red Devils went on to fall out of the Champions League in the group stages, which saw them fall down into the Europa League.
However, the team didn’t do too well in the Europa League either, as Athletic Bilbao went on to send the team crashing out of the tournament.
As a result, the team fell out of two competitions in the same season.
Ferguson, when talking about the team and their form in Europe and just how it was his fault that the team didn’t do as well as they should have, is quoted to have said: "We accept we were well beaten and we have deserved the criticism that has come our
way in Europe this season"

"I took too many chances giving young players a run-out in an attempt to speed up their development and perhaps I asked too much of them.”

"We always expect to qualify and with that in mind I perhaps pushed on too quickly in the Champions League.”

"Long-term we might get the benefit, but not in the minds of our supporters, who want to see us win.”

"So we let the fans down and I won't take as many chances next season."
However, the manager went on to express his delight for the way the team had been playing in the Premier League.
United are currently sitting in the second spot in the league, but can still go on and claim top spot should they win their upcoming game.
Ferguson then went on to add: "After weeks trailing in second place we got our noses in front and I am sure our players are ready to put the pressure on again”
Should the team win the Premier League, not a lot of United fans would be disappointed with the team’s performances this season.
It is now a wait to see just how the team finishes their current season and whether they win the Premier League trophy or not.
