The United manager is excited by the possible return of Darren Fletcher, who has been out of action since November of last year.
After months of waiting there was finally some positive news on the horizon as the Scottish midfielder made his bow in a friendly game against Aberdeen.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Darren-Fletcher-c10361’s career had been on the turn since being diagnosed with a chronic bowel condition, spending the majority of the 2011/12 season on the treatment table and missing out on the title chase along the way.
Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson’s troops also failed to retain their crown and considering that the main reason identified for that was the lack of a midfield general, the veteran tactician will be buoyed by the fact that Fletcher could be on his way back.
Taking to the pitch in his native country, the player was greeted with cheers from the Manchester United supporters and the whole footballing community rose to salute him.
While the cameo has shed some positive light on his future, there is still a long way to go before he can ply his trade in the Premier League once again.
Nonetheless, his manager was quite happy with his progress and claimed that he would wait before making a decision on the matter.
"For Darren, it's great to be back and I hope it's the start for him. We don't know as we're all aware he's got this issue he needs to deal with and he's dealing with it very well at the moment. What we've seen tonight is encouraging for us."
“It's been a quiet progress for the boy. He joined in training a couple of weeks ago and it's one of these situations where you say: ‘Let's see how he does' because he has had a really difficult time in the last year."
Meanwhile the Red Devils continue their journey for silverware at the highest level, although their campaign did not get off to a flyer.
Suffering a 1-0 loss against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019, the Premiership giants will be looking to secure three points this time around, when they face Fulham at Old Trafford.
